White Suit

Compared to the blacks, blues and the grays, a white suit is in a very different league. It is a bold choice to make for a regular gentleman. It is a fashion choice that can easily get you on top of the best dressed list but can also land you at the very bottom if you wear the suit not the correct way.

Wearing White Suits Consider Wisely

Not many people are seen wearing white suits not just because it is hard to wear, but

because it can only be worn on selected events and occasions. Keep in mind that the white suit was not made to be worn around the office. Doing so would be a major “fashion faux pas”, not unless of course if you feel that you can wear the white suit, instead of it wearing you.

The white suit is also worn mainly during the day and on outdoor events. This would be a common outfit for the fashion forward especially during summer and that is for practical reasons. If you need to wear a suit during the day, we all know that dark colors absorb more light therefore making you feel like you’re being roasted in an oven. The color white however reflects most of the light, so it is more comfortable and less likely to get warm. It is also ill advised to wear a white suit when it is not sunny, for as we know, white suits are a dirt magnet, and if it rains you are sure to find yourself in trouble.

How White Suits For Men Should Be Worn

When wearing a white suit, avoid wearing dress shirts that are too complicated, or dress shirts whose colors are too loud. If you think that you can get away with wearing an outrageous undershirt because it perfectly balances off the blandness of the color white, you are seriously mistaken. Although you can wear dark colored dress shirts underneath a white suit, it would be better to wear one that is of lighter hues and of planer design. Wear something that blends with it rather than something that shows too much contrast. The simpler the shirt, the better it is with the white suit. It is also best worn without a tie and an open collar.

The white suit should also fit you perfectly. It should be tapered at the waist and fit you like a glove. Ignore this rule and wear a white suit that doesn’t fit you well and you’ll end up looking like you wore a tent. So if you are considering renting suits and white is the color you are after then go by these tips to pick the right one for yourself.
